Here are some of the remaining projects I mean to do next:
A piece of country-themed fabric crying out to be made into another apron.
A collection of small, Japanese-themed squares to be made into a small quilt.
I’ve recently purchased a hat pattern on Ravelry.com that is a bit more challenging than the ones I did this fall. I have some lovely deep blue yarn that I bought at CloseKnit (http://www.closeknitevanston.com/) when I was in Evanston at Thanksgiving that I think will be perfect for it.
It is strange and pleasant to have some time to work on these things. Also makes me wonder how I managed in years gone by to make clothes and toys and Halloween costumes, Christmas gifts and decorations – all those years of making things and making a home. As did my mother and her mother, my mother-in-law and her mother, and as my daughter and daughters-in-law do as well.
